Birmingham City striker Lukas Jutkiewicz has been named in the EFL Team of the Week.
Jutkiewicz scored both goals in Blues’ 2-2 draw at home to Ipswich Town in the Championship at the weekend, which was Blues’ seventh draw from 10 games this season. The result also meant that Blues still remain in search of that first home win of the season.
Jutkiewicz was the hero for Blues on Saturday, as Garry Monk’s side went 2-0 down in the first-half, with Jon Nolan and Matthew Pennington scoring for the Tractor Boys before half-time. Blues pressed to pull the game back, with Jutkiewicz scoring early in the second-half to cut the deficit. He eventually found his second goal and Blues’ equaliser with little over 20 minutes left of the game, however, despite Blues’ best efforts, they just couldn’t quite find the winner to get that elusive first home win of the season.
