Word On The Tweet

‘You big mucker’, ‘popadom hands’: Tributes fly in for Blues player on his special day

|

It was going to happen eventually, and here it is.

Those of you who are regulars to this site will know that I’ve not exactly been too kind to one member of the Birmingham City team. Well, today is the day that I put those, not so much differences aside, but to just give him a little bit of breathing space when it comes to my views on him.

Today marks the 35th birthday for the Blues current number one, Lee Camp. Camp joined City back in 2018 on a two-year deal from Cardiff City and has been a near ever-present in the side ever since.

So when the club sent out a tweet to mark the occasion, there were plenty of Bluenoses who wanted to join in the celebrations and wish him all the best on his special day.

Although, I think these people didn’t quite get the memo that you’re meant to be nice to someone on their birthday. They decided to honour the big man’s special occasion in, let’s just say a rather interesting manner.

Even if I’m not Camp’s biggest fan, even I think that’s a tiny bit harsh.
