The Hosts – Queens Park Rangers

Queens Park Rangers will host Birmingham City this weekend as they look to pick up on what has been a fairly stagnant season for them so far under both Chris Ramsey and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

CURRENT FORM

The R’s currently sit in 13th spot and have drawn their previous two games with the scoreline being the same in both, 1-1.

However, since the start of December, QPR have won just three in 16 games meaning they have significantly dropped out of the play-off race and look set to do battle in the Championship once again next year despite the undoubted talent that they have in their ranks.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM QPR

A draw? A late equaliser? Out of those 16 games that were mentioned above, the hosts have drawn a staggering nine of those and only one of them had a higher scoreline than 1-1.

The Hoops are a very solid defensive team but they very rarely offer a lot going forward so this might come as a surprise to them when Blues let them attack at their own will.

If they get comfortable and feel like they can continuously push men forward throughout the game, that is when Blues can strike because that is what they are best at, catching people on the break.

WHO DO YOU PLAY IN THE NO.10 ROLE?

Gary Rowett has a real headache ahead of Saturday’s game following Tuesday’s win over Bolton Wanderers when Diego Fabbrini produced a fine piece of footwork to help Blues win the game.

After the match, the former Burton Albion boss said that it was difficult for him to drop Jon Toral because he has been in fine form this season, so the big question is, who do you play in the all important no.10 role?

For me I would like to see Toral restored to the starting line-up because I think he is more technically gifted going forward and he will give us that edge in the game.

THE FANS VIEW

Harry Taylor, a Queens Park Rangers fan, wrote on an article on Vital Birmingham yesterday: ‘Suffice to say, you lads need to A) turn up, B) take your chances (for which there will be many) and you’ll be fine.’

Blues fans, will you be heading to Loftus Road this weekend? What are your thoughts of Queens Park Rangers? Let us know in the comment section down below?
