Reading supporter`s travelling to St. Andrew`s for Saturday`s Championship curtain raiser have forked out the lowest cost for an away ticket of the opening weekend fixtures.

Royals` fans have had to shell out just £20 for an adult ticket and £5 for a U13 ticket for the encounter in the second city. However, despite the low prices, Reading`s initial allocation of 1,281 tickets is yet to sell-out.

Elsewhere in the Championship, Cardiff City offer the second cheapest at £22 for their game against Fulham. Bristol City fans will pay through the nose, £39, for their return to second-tier action at Sheffield Wednesday and the Burnley faithful will pay £37 at Leeds United`s Elland Road.

The official prices go some way to showing that certain club`s are working hard to bring back affordable football for families. But with extortionate pricing schedules still in place at other clubs, there is still a long way to go.

Cardiff City v Fulham – £22
Preston North End v Middlesbrough – £24
