Forest manager Colin Calderwood admitted that he felt ‘a mixture of pride and disappointment’ after watching his side came very close to beating Birmingham at the City Ground on Saturday.

Calderwood thought his side had wrapped up the points when Joe Garner went through on goal with just ten minutes to go with the score locked at 1-1.

But he shot straight at the keeper.
‘We’ve given another overall good performance and not got a victory,’ Calderwood said.

‘There’s no question marks about what we’re doing so it must come. We’re giving ourselves the maximum opportunity to win. That’s all you can ask.’

‘That’s the best chance to win it,’ Calderwood said. ‘Credit to him, he could’ve tumbled and taken a penalty.

‘He’s cussing himself as much as anyone else but we’ve got to be proud of the entertainment we’re giving the fans.’
