Blues boss Alex McLeish watched his side draw 1-1 with Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Saturday and admitted that his side had put in a poor performance.

A second-half header from James Perch brought the scores level at 1-1 after James McFadden’s 13th minute goal for the visitors.

‘I didn’t think we really dealt well enough with the game at all,’ McLeish told Sky Sports News.

‘We’ve had a lot of disruptions but I’m not making excuses because it was a very poor performance after we scored the goal.

‘When they scored just after half-time there was still plenty of time for us to get back on top but nothing happened.

‘Forest had the best chances to win the game.

‘I’m gutted for the Blues fans that travelled to the match because they gave us some tremendous support today.’
