Opinion: Predicted line up Vs. Bolton Wanderers

The weekends success against recently relegated Queens Park Rangers was probably one of our best performances all season.

It showed that no matter whether we are at home or away, we aren’t afraid to let teams have the ball so that we can go on and counter attack on them as it is our way of playing now.

Saturday showed just how good we are at doing that and I thought the result was the correct one as Blues showed more hunger and more desire. Blues looked like they wanted to win the game from the off!

However, despite the result, Blues have got another game to think about now and it is the first of two tricky away games that they face.

Bolton Wanderers away will always bring back memories of the great escape but lets face it, Blues are going this year with completely different intentions.

Gary Rowett and his men will be hoping to replicate last seasons 1-0 away win or maybe even better it.

The Trotters currently sit at the foot of the Championship table with eight points but Rowett and his staff will be aware of the quality that their squad possesses.

Below is the team that I would send out to face Neil Lennon’s team if I was manager, along with the seven substitutes.

GK: Kuszczak
RB: Caddis
CB: Morrison
CB: Robinson
LB: Grounds
CM: Kieftenbeld
CM: Davis
CM: Gleeson
RW: Maghoma
ST: Donaldson
LW: Gray

Subs: Legzdins, Lowry, Spector, Shinnie, Toral, Brock-Madsen, Solomon-Otabor.

As you can see, I have stuck with the same side that won 2-1 at the weekend because why fix it if it isn’t broke. I think Robinson is capable of playing one more consecutive game but then he may need to be rested.

The alternate roles that the midfield trio operate will always be important to our style of play but I think at the moment we have the balance of who goes forward just right and I don’t think Rowett will want to change it.

Blues fans, what do you make of my predictions? Who would you have in your starting XI and why? Let us know in the comment section down below!
