Oh yes guys and girls, it’s the one we have all been waiting for! The game against Aston Villa is just days away and what better game to get things back on track following two defeats in our last three games.

Although we have only lost once in the league this season, former Blues boss Steve Bruce brings his side to St.Andrews with back-to-back wins under their belt for the first time since 2014! (I know right, pride of the Midlands my arse!)

There will be one man noticeably missing from Gary Rowett’s side this weekend with Jonathan Grounds being suspended, it means that there will be at least one forced changed to the Blues side on Sunday.

It will be the first Championship game that Grounds has missed this season and although many fans slate him for what he does every week, I think he will be a massive miss.

As well as Grounds missing out, I also think that on loan Burnley striker Lukas Jutkiewicz may have to settle for a place on the bench because the long ball game really isn’t working for Blues at the moment as the service into him just isn’t good enough.

So, down below is the side that I think Rowett will send out this weekend along with the seven substitutes…

GK: Kuszczak
RB: Spector
CB: Morrison
CB: Shotton
LB: Wiggins
CM: Davis
CM: Gleeson
CM: Kieftenbeld
RW: Adams
ST: Donaldson
LW: Maghoma

Substitutes: Legzdins, Robinson, Brown, Stewart, Fabbrini, Cotterill, Jutkiewicz.

As you can see, there are a few changes to the side that lost 2-0 to Burton Albion last Friday night.

Tomasz Kuszczak, Rhoys Wiggings, Che Adams and Clayton Donaldson have all been called into the first team ahead of Adam Legzdins, the suspended Grounds, David Cotterill and the earlier mentioned Jutkiewicz.

The reason why I believe there will be four changes to the side for the game against Villa is because I think they enhance us as a team.

Polish keeper Kuszczak is far better than Legzdins, fact. Wiggins has to go in there because Grounds is suspended. Adams is far more productive than Cotterill, despite the work the Welshman puts in. Donaldson is a better runner than Jutkiewicz and offers us more from the get go.

For me, the team above is one that I would feel most comfortable with seeing play against Villa.

Blues fans, do you agree with the line up that has been predicted? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section down below!
