Birmingham City travel to Fulham this weekend in search of their first win in four games, the trip to Craven Cottage being the fourth.

Last season, Gary Rowett’s men managed to take away a point from the London based side, but it could have easily been all three points with many chances falling the way of the Blues.

However, this season, Blues go there with more optimism as they have one of the best away records in all four divisions, currently sitting eighth in the form chart.

Despite their good away from, Blues have failed to score in four out of their last five matches but this isn’t something that is worrying Blues boss Rowett, who claimed he has every confidence that his side will end this mini goal drought.

Currently sat in sixth position in the league, Blues are five places above their opponents and have a five point cushion on them, which could be reduced to two if things don’t go their way on Saturday.

So far this season Fulham have managed to win four games on home soil. In their nine games at home in all competitions they have managed to find the back of the net 16 times, and they have conceded a total of 11. That turn around gives them a plus five goal difference.

However, Blues on the other hand have a stronger record on the road. So far this season, in all competitions Blues have managed to rack up five wins, two draws and two losses.

During the nine games that Blues have played on their travels so far this season, they have managed to find the back of the net 12 times and they have only conceded seven, which gives them the same turn around as Fulham have at home, plus five.

To me, this game is screaming goals, but then again I may be wrong! Hopefully Blues will go to the Cottage and nullify the threat of Moussa Dembele and Ross McCormack, both of which are in hope form at the moment.

If we can successfully starve them of chances like we did with Jordan Rhodes on Tuesday night then we will always stand a chance of walking away with two more points than we did last season.

Blues fans, do you think we can win the game against Fulham? Do you think their goal scoring threat could be something that catches Blues out? Let us know in the comment section down below!
