Moan, Moan, Moan

After the defeat against Oxford on Tuesday night, one social media post really riled me. A gentleman wrote directly on Panos Pavlakis’ Facebook wall ‘please do us a favour and relieve Gary Rowett of his duties’.

This, I couldn’t believe. Are we really turning into Villa fans who hound their manager out at the first sign of a struggle?

Truth be told, we weren’t that bad against Oxford, but we didn’t look like scoring. Rowett has addressed this by signing Che Adams and trying to bring in another striker. Why the panic so early on?

Blues fans used to be known for their backing of the club through thick and thin. Now, many seem to have turned into a moaning bridge that have a pop at literally everything from the formation to the font on the back of the shirt. It’s really tiresome. Especially considering we have a manager who has steered us onto steadier waters and is now trying to push us on even further with a limited budget.

Blues fans should listen to the words of ‘Keep Right On’ and actually put them into practice. ‘Though you’re tired and weary, still journey on til you come to your happy abode’.

Or how about ‘there’ll be joys and sorrows too’?
