Former Birmingham City loanee Jordan Ibe has been speaking to the Daily Post about his ambitions for this pre-season and his spell in the Midlands.

Ibe has been involved in Liverpool`s first friendly against Brondby and said he enjoyed the game. Liverpool didn`t win the game but Ibe insisted the game was all about fitness for the Reds.

The youngster came on as a substitute and played a part in the equaliser for Liverpool but admitted his finishing needs to improve as he squandered two good chances.

Speaking about his time with Birmingham,

“The experience of playing week in, week out in the Championship in high pressure matches really helped me,

It was great for my development and I really benefited from that time away.”

Ibe scored just once whilst playing for Birmingham and managed four league starts and seven from the bench. Very much not the finished product and we`ve seen plenty of players with pace not develop into a technically sufficient player.

It would seem Birmingham could do with Ibe once more though as Clark admits he would like one more player available for wide duties.

The Liverpool mans blocked shot made its way to Zigic in the dying minutes of the Bolton game. That header was cleared off the line, only to fall to Paul Caddis; you know the rest.
