You can’t please some people can you?
I can understand if fans don’t get excited with wins in pre-season, those results don’t matter. However, if you win during the regular season when you get points for games and can’t get see the joy in that, well then I think you’re just a tad weird.
The Blues got off to the perfect start on Saturday as, despite being dominated in the statistical department, they defeated Brentford 1-0 at Griffin Park. Kristian Pedersen got the game’s only goal, with one the rarest and spectacular things in football, a header from outside the box.
In the aftermath, interim head coach Pep Clotet gave an intricate assessment of just how the game was won, discussing the minutiae of their opponent’s formation and how the Blues hard work and discipline off the ball set the stage for them to claim three points.
Birmingham fans though, they weren’t so intricate in their assessment of the game. Restricted to 280 characters, I suppose it’s a lot harder to go into fine details of things, but let’s just say that they weren’t all impressed with how things panned out.
Dont try and sooth fans by saying it’s a working class club, we know that. @pepclotet that was an utterly abysmal performance and set up. All we did was hoof the ball. When did Blues start play-acting? That’s not us! Shameful. We had no control with the ball. Huge step backwards.

We looked working class as well Pep! You better sort it out as a 5 man rear line were torn apart in the 1st half and we were only playing Brentford!! Hope you don’t turn into a Zola but on that performance… it leaves a lot to be desired.

No. I was happy. But today was awful. That’s the fact, I’ll call out an absolutely abysmal performance, because I am a real fan. I care that we can do better, than just sit back and think, we got 3 points. So go away and continue to be a plastic fan. Real fans tell it like it is.

A very committed performance but we had nothing going forward, and should of been at least 3 goals down at halftime. About time we had some luck KRO.

Not everyone decided to take the negative route though, these fans were pleased with what they saw.
I think he’s got the Club and fans front and centre in his thinking. I love the Blues but I think he knows it’s not the easiest managerial role in football, but he seems to relish that challenge, in my view. @pepclotet ‘gets’ @BCFC. Best of luck to Pep. #KRO #BCFC ????⚪️
