Former Birmingham City defender Amari`i Bell has signed for League One side Fleetwood Town just days after he was release from the West Midlands side, the club have confirmed on their official website.

The 21 year old left sided defender will officially link up with the Cod Army in July when his contract ends with the Blues. Having only made one solitary appearance for the Blues, it was always likely that Bell would be leaving at the end of his initial contract.

The former West Bromwich Albion youth player and Solihull Moors star had several loan spells away from St.Andrews at teams like Kidderminster Harries and League One side Gillingham, who were also reportedly interested in signing him but were piped to the post by Fleetwood so a move to one of his previous clubs was always likely to be on the cards for the defender.

Bell becomes the second signing of the summer already for Town boss Graham Alexander with former Aberdeen player Declan McManus already having signed for the club.
