In a report by Martin Swain today in the Express & Star, it is claimed that veteran defender David Weir has turned down the chance to join Birmingham City and could instead sign for West Bromwich Albion.
The 36-year-old Everton defender, who could still take the one year option and stay at Goodison Park, hasn’t been attracted to St Andrew’s according to his agent and that should be WBA in the driving seat.
Personally I’d rather they got him than us, I’d like to see us build on youth.
