Carson Yeung To Speak Out

Carson Yeung is currently involved in a court case worth a reported £60 million pound fraud trial and up until this point has maintained that he would not give evidence at his trial.

It seems Yeung has now changed his mind after appointing a new lawyer to his case. Carson Yeung or who ever advises him clearly feel that they have not done enough to clear his name of these charges, you wouldn’t change council for no reason would you? that would be like taking a left turn when you know your house is to the right.

The final submissions by each side were set to take place next month after the case was adjourned. It would be no surprise to me now if they delay the trial further, firstly time will have to be made for the case to re-enter a court room and they shall have to be queued for that.

Mr Yeung has now submitted an application to re-open his defence which will give him the opportunity to take to the stand, there is no guarantee the application will be accepted.

The legal fees for this case now apparently reach above £1 million. Any such figures are clearly worrying to Birmingham City, whilst the club continues to struggle to stay afloat.

Yeung is accused of money laundering between 2001 and 2007, he entered a not guilty plea.
