(Insert terrible joke/comment about Birmingham potentially buying a Spanish player here).
It’s fast becoming a cliché at the moment, but I suppose Pep Clotet just has a certain style of player. Or at the very least, just a certain nationality.
Alan Nixon reported on Saturday that Birmingham are chasing yet another Spanish player, this time Denis Vivar Becerra. A centre-back who was part of the Malaga youth setup last season, and according to Nixon, Clotet knows him and the deal could be completed relatively shortly. Whether or not he’ll be brought straight into the first team we don’t know, but their next game is on Saturday against Stoke City, so it’s not as if they have to rush to get the deal over the line.
However, it looks as if Blues fans aren’t exactly too thrilled about being linked to him. Whilst the squad is looking somewhat healthy in terms of overall numbers, they are still relatively short when it comes to the forward department, and it’s that area that they’d rather the club be focusing on.
Birmingham need all the help they can get from what I’ve seen today

Need someone with pace up front. One attempt on target in three away games is appalling.

Can he play up front?

Seems your manager getting his tactics across…look more attacking, just need to put the chances away….

I understand we need a striker but we are poor defensively too, need to get the basics right first
