Wenger Agrees Wilshire Should Have Walked Shock.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said after the 2-1 win over unlucky Birmingham that he thought Jack Wilshere deserved his red card.

Wilshire put in just the sort of tackle that Wenger moans about when committed by other clubs, he received a straight red and a three match ban, but unusually, Wenger agreed with the decision instead of pretending he saw nothing.

Wenger said: ‘He mistimed his tackled and got a red card, which he deserved.

‘Jack has acknowledged he deserved it, but he did not spend his whole game trying to kick people, he was one of the best players on the pitch. It was more of frustration and did not want to hurt the player, but we do not complain about the red card.’
