Well Will Packwood is back and going well so far and even earning some interest from the US national side.

Packwood is now 20 and was initially on a youth contract with Birmingham City. After coming back from injury and breaking into the first team he is now being touted as a possible long term US first team player; some American media outlets have labelled him a ‘wild card`.

US Manager Klinsmann is clearly liking the look of the young Blues defender as he has been invited to join the international team for a training camp based in Germany. He will also be included when the United States take on Ukraine.

Packwood of course is not the only player the US have eyes on inside St Andrews, fellow American Jonathan Spector is also coming along well.

Lee Clark has also backed Packwood to go on to make the world cup with his international side and I don`t think it is all that far from happening.

Packwood is playing well and demonstrates great professionalism. The 20 year old has also expressed his confidence in Birmingham and the new group of players fighting for the cause under Lee Clark.
