Birmingham City may have to wait a little longer to complete the signing of Stewart Downing, report The Gazette.
They say that the 32-year-old’s move to St. Andrew’s has been delayed with Middlesbrough and Blues still discussing the terms of the transfer.
Negotiations as to how much of Downing’s wages Boro will have to pay are ongoing- that is, of course, if they are to continue paying any at all.
The former England man isn’t keen on leaving the Riverside so a wage cut is also something that he wouldn’t necessarily entertain.
