The Rise Of Viv Solomon

Blues academy graduate Viv Solomon-Otabor has made a large rise to Gary Rowett`s first team squad. Solomon signed on scholarship terms with the clubs academy at the age of eighteen after being released by his local side Crystal Palace, he has since risen through the U18 and U21 squads and made his debut in last month`s League cup tie at home to Gillingham.

After impressing on debut and being included in various match day squads, Solomon is hoping to be involved in his nation`s Olympic campaign in Rio. Solomon, whose parents both originate from Nigeria, has already received recognition from his national side as he was included in Nigeria`s training camp squad for the recent international break.

He now faces competition for places at St Andrews as the likes of Dimmy Gray, David Cotterill both seem to have cemented the wide midfield slots. Solomon will be targeting a regular place in the match day eighteen and force a way into Gary Rowett`s starting team.

After previously tipping the nineteen year old winger to break into the side this season, I feel he has completely matched my confidence in him. Solomon is set for a massive future at the club, his debut at Gillingham showed exactly why; he managed to impose himself on the game and look lively against very competent opposition.

Hopefully the Nigerian winger can continue his impressive reign of form in Richard Beale`s under twenty one side and force his fellow counterparts into pressure and albeit ,improve performances on the pitch.

Can Solomon break into Gary Rowett`s side?

Or would a loan move be more beneficial?
