Teenage Academy scholars Demarai Gray and Reece Brown are set to be offered their first professional contracts with Birmingham City.

The pair, who are both 17, have both managed to get into the first team over the past couple of months and with other clubs hovering, it’s in the best interests of City to get the pair signed up.

The promising pair have also both been signed up for the England under-18s training camp at Burton on November 17.

Gray can operate as a winger or an out and out forward impressed Clark while training with the first team after good performances in the reserves, he made his first appearance in October against Millwall and then came on as a 36th minute sub in the game against Derby recently.

He was involved in the Capital One cup game against Stoke City and last week made his first start in the league in the home defeat against Charlton Athletic.

Brown is a midfielder who impressed in pre-season and played his first senior game against Burnley. On Saturday he was on the bench.
