Birmingham City defender Ryan Shotton is poised to join Middlesbrough.

A deal for the 28-year-old to link up with Garry Monk’s side has been agreed for some time, with the only thing holding it up being Blues’ desire to bring in a replacement beforehand.

But, with Harlee Dean set to arrive at St. Andrew’s, that has allowed Shotton to complete his move north.

He is expected to finalise the deal and complete his medical within the next 24 hours.

  • Mucked about to much with positions , man of the match many times , can see monk coming good with him ,

  • Just a bench warmer for me. Too many miss kicks, miss judgments and fumbles, so making him man of the match shows just how bad we have been.

  • Like for like replacement. So will Harley Dean want to sit on the bench? Who makes way Grounds or Morrison?

  • Grounds on the bench harlee Dean is a lot better than Shotton he get forward with the ball he is a natural ball playing defender. Robertts Morrisons and Dean. At the back mackes for a solid backline all leaders all have their own qualities.
