Charlton Athletic`s Morgan Fox is one of the left backs being considered by Birmingham City manager Gary Rowett.

The 22 year-old was a target for Blues in the summer but no bid was made for the player. However, Vital Blues understands that Fox, who was relegated to League One with the Addicks last season, is on the radar at St. Andrews – but again, no bid has yet been tabled.

Recent reports linked the player with a move to Huddersfield Town but that was denied by the Yorkshire club.

The highly rated left sided full back has appeared 83 times for the South Londoners and had a decent season last term, despite their relegation. Rowett was also running the rule over former Aston Villa man Kieran Richardson, as he looks to strengthen the left hand side of his defence.

Any move for Fox will be dictated by finances. A large chunk of Rowett`s budget was used for the signings of Che Adams and Greg Stewart.
