Gary Rowett is to make Randolph his permanent number one for as long as possible as he is sure of his quality between the sticks.

The Blues boss is pleased his keeper is agile and of good size. So much so that he is sure the keeper will eventually end up in the Premier League.

Randolph has just missed out on player of the month; despite picking up three clean sheets and being unbeaten in 5. The keeper has put in some excellent performances along with a rejuvenated defensive line.

Birmingham have some way to go until they are clear of a relegation dog fight but the early signs are very promising. With that they have an in form keeper to help them push up the league.

There was little doubt that Randolph was a quality keeper. In truth there was not much he could do with some of the football Birmingham were playing at the back under Lee Clark.

He did make the occasional mistake but I would hate to even try to think about the pressure he felt before each game. Knowing there would come a time where he would become very busy.

Gary Rowett will look to cement a defence around the stopper and aim to keep hold of him as long as possible. It is already apparent that the manager can get players to believe in him and that may be enough to keep Randolph.
