Rowett: Approach Won’t Change

Expect to see more of the same, has been the message from Gary Rowett ahead of the FA cup 3rd round.

Birmingham have been utilising a counter-attacking set up since the arrival of Gary Rowett and I think everyone can agree it has worked a treat.

Well in terms of game plan, playing style and tactics, nothing will change.

we`ll look at the game and Blyth and what we need to do in the game and whether that`s the same style with which we`ve played so far, which is counter-attacking and with a very good discipline in the team. We`re not going to suddenly go away from that and change.

Birmingham’s success has appeared to be build on the continuity that has ran throughout the team since the arrival of the new boss.

So changing thing now would probably go against what Rowett believes makes good results. Blyth may even be hoping Blues change it up in a bid to go and win the game on the front foot, after all it would be an unfamiliar Blues style.

So now we know, that Birmingham will stick to what they have been doing so well. Everyone remains disciplined, works hard, gets behind the ball and looks to break through their front four.

Will Blyth no whats hit them? much like Forest, I’m expecting a comfortable win. But this is the FA Cup! who knows?!
