Birmingham new boy Paul Robinson says that Blues have every chance of making it back to the Premier League at the end of the season.

The 33-year-old has been training with the club for around a fortnight, but has just signed a one month contract to go into City’s defence to help out.

Left-back Robinson is keen to get started with his new team and reckons that there is nothing stopping Birmingham City getting back into the top flight says that from what he has seen, Blues are capable of mounting a promotion bid even though they looked a bit of a shambles in the 5-0 home defeat to Barnsley.

Robinson told the Birmingham Mail: “When you look at the group of players, the lads I have been training with each day, they are top-quality players.

“There is some great quality young lads up to the experienced lads. A lot have played at the highest level and they all know what this league is about.

“Yes, there`s a lot of hurt pride at the moment.

“It was a tough result at the weekend and the lads have responded really well in training, and that`s what you want to see from players.

“You want to be unhappy because no one wants to get beat 5-0, and in the way it happened.

“So the lads watched the DVD on Monday, they cleared the air, and it is time to move on.’
