Papa Bouba Diop is training with Birmingham City, in the hope he can impress manager Lee Clark into offering him a contract.
The 34 year old won the FA Cup with Portsmouth in 2008 and has also had spells at West Ham and Fulham.
The Senegal international joined West Ham on a free transfer from AEK Athens in August 2011, but he only went on to make 14 appearances and was released in the summer.
