Robinson Has Been A Rock For Clark

Veteran defender Paul Robinson has come in for some praise from his manager.

The former West Brom full back has stepped up to the plate recently and put in some staring performances, keeping Blues steady at the back, not to mention the good influence he is on the younger players at the club.

Since he moved inside to the heart of the defence in place of Steve Cauldwell, Blues have recorded five victories and been on the losing end of a score sheet just once.

And after securing their Championship status on Saturday, Clark has chosen now as the right time to hail Robinson.

He told the Birmingham Mail: ‘He’s playing extremely well. He’s been outstanding.

‘He’s aggressive, he’s determined and he’s a great example to the younger players.

‘He’s lively in the training camp, in the hotels, around the club. He’s been tremendous for me.’
