Birmingham City Captain Paul Robinson will be eligible for selection this Friday for the Championship game against Leeds. The Skipper had been set to miss the game through suspension however an FA panel have rescinded the suspension.

Referee Stephen Martin dismissed Robinson for violent conduct in the 2-1 win over Wolves. Robinson tangled with Bodvarsson shortly after the half time restart and following consultation with the linesman, Martin produced the red card.

Many Blues fans disputed the decision immediately after the game and they have proven to be correct in their assessment.

At a time where Birmingham are light on the ground due to injuries, Robinson remaining available certainly helps Manager Gianfranco Zola in his preparations for Friday night.

I personally would like to see a video referee introduced into the game to help aid the team on the pitch. Birmingham holding onto their 2-1 may prove to be a turning point in the season, who knows what might have been had Wolves got back into the tie.
