Alex McLeish insists that there is no rift between anybody inside the Birmingham City dressing room and the players remain a tightly knit team.

Speculation has been rife of late that Liam Ridgewell had handed in a transfer request and Barry Ferguson has been in a new deal demand from the City boss.

Talk to unsettle the players has also started about Seb Larsson sparking fears that he could be on the move to West Ham.

McLeish told Sky Sports: ‘Those kind of stories about disharmony are rubbish. There has been no handing in of transfer requests.

‘There has been no-one knocking on my door. The club are having amicable talks with one or two players.

‘If we tie them up, we tie them up. If we don’t, then we have to look to do something else.

‘But there is no dressing room disharmony. That is absolute nonsense, absolute rubbish.’
