Blues on loan keeper Joe Hart is not very likely to be at Birmingham City next season, unless it is on another loan spell.

The England stopper has been at St Andrews all season on loan from Manchester City so that the 22 year old can pick up some valuable first team experience in the Premier League.

But he has been so good for Blues that nobody at the club wants to see him return to the City Of Manchester Stadium.

But Blues boss Alex McLeish still doubts that a permanent deal can be agreed.

He said:’At the moment, the chances of Joe coming back next season are slim. Manchester City haven’t made their mind up on the matter.

‘I’m sure if they got into the Champions League, they might want to keep Joe.

‘But, saying that, he’s a number one goalkeeper now and I know he wouldn’t be happy sitting on the bench.

‘That’s something, if Manchester City decide to keep Joe, that they are going to have to deal with.

‘Joe sees himself very much as a number one goalie now and it would probably devastate him if he has to sit on the bench next season.

‘But he is a Manchester City player and we have to look at other options.’
