Newcastle United could be putting a bid together for Blues defender Liam Ridgewell in the January transfer window.
Ridgewell is one of the players who survived a move away from the club in the summer ahead of the start of their championship campaign.
There was no shortage of interest in the player, Stoke City were one of the clubs linked with taking him away from St Andrews.
It is known that Ridgewell would like to return to the Premier League and if Newcastle were to come knocking, he would find it hard to turn down a deal.
