The need for three points has never been more crucial than it is now for Birmingham City and Gianfranco Zola, but a trip to Preston North End stands in the way of picking up those much needed points.

The Lilywhites won their last home game 4-2 meaning that their spirits will be high and with confidence running low in the Blues camp, it is tough to think about where our next set of points will come from.

Blues will be without at least four first team players with Ryan Shotton, Michael Morrison, Clayton Donaldson and David Davis all ruled out through both suspension and injury.

With the heart of the team missing, Zola will definitely be ringing the changes. Down below is the side that I think the Italian will name along with the seven substitutes…

GK: Kuszczak
RWB: Nsue
CB: Robinson
CB: Bielik
CB: Grounds
LWB: Keita
CM: Gleeson
CM: Gardner
CM: Kieftenbeld
ST: Adams
ST: Jutiewicz

Substitutes: Legzdins, Scarr, Dacres-Cogley, Frei, Stewart, Tesche, Sinclair.
