Following a vastly improved outing on Saturday against Middlesbrough, Blues boss Gary Rowett will be looking to add further points to the board on Tuesday when Blues face Preston North End.

The Lilywhites currently sit in 16th spot in the Sky Bet Championship and head into their second home game in four days off the back of a well deserved victory over managerless Reading.

Despite my predictions last week that Neal Eardley and Jonathan Grounds would be dropped, both stayed in the starting XI and produced a fantastic display against Aitor Karanka’s side.

I personally think that there will be at least one change on Tuesday at Deepdale with Andy Shinnie likely to miss out after he failed to capitalise on his opportunity at the Riverside.

Below is the team that I would send out to face Preston if I was Gary Rowett…

GK: Kuszczak
RB: Eardley
CB: Morrison
CB: Spector
LB: Grounds
CDM: Kieftenbeld
CDM: Gleeson
RAM: Gray
CAM: Toral
LAM: Maghoma
ST: Vaughan

Substitutes: Legzdins, Caddis, Halford, Solomon-Otabor, Davis, Shinnie, Brock-Madsen.

As you can see, I have made only one change to the side that kept a clean sheet at the weekend with Jon Toral returning to the team after shaking off an injury which kept him out of the game against Boro.

That means that Shinnie will drop back to the bench and he will be hopeful of making an impact from there.

Other than that one change, I haven’t made any others because the team put in such a good performance last time out that nothing needs to be changed.

Blues fans, what do you make of the prediction that has been made? Do you agree with the single change that has been made? Let us know in the comment section down below!
