Finally, a Birmingham City game on a Saturday! It feels like an age since Blues last played a 3pm game on a Saturday and hopefully it will put an end to our bad run of form away from home as well.

Gary Rowett’s side take on Huddersfield Town this weekend in a clash that could prove vital in the long run for the pair who are both fighting it out for one of those oh so sought after play-off spots.

The Terriers who are managed by David Wagner currently sit in third spot in the league table at the time of writing this article but they are only four points ahead of Blues who are just outside the top six in seventh place.

A win for Blues this weekend would see them close the gap on Town to just one point and with Bristol City not playing until 5:30pm, Blues could move back into the top six even if they pick up just a point.

Going into the game, I believe Rowett may make one or two changes to the side which drew 1-1 in last weekends massive game against Aston Villa.

The likes of David Davis and Stephen Gleeson will remain in the team with Maikel Kieftenbeld serving a suspension following his fifth booking of the season last weekend, but Clayton Donaldson and Che Adams might have to settle for a place on the bench.

Down below is the side that I believe Rowett will send out on Saturday as well as the seven substitutes…

GK: Kuszczak
RB: Spector
CB: Shotton
CB: Morrison
LB: Grounds
CDM: Gleeson
CDM: Davis
RAM: Cotterill
CAM: Adams
LAM: Maghoma
ST: Jutkiewicz

Substitutes: Legzdins, Robinson, Brown, Fabbrini, Stewart, Storer, Donaldson.

As you can see, I have made two forced changes and one unforced changed, so three altogether.

The earlier mentioned Donaldson has been dropped to the bench in place of Lukas Jutkiewicz, David Cotterill comes in for the suspended Kieftenbeld and Jonathan Grounds returns to the side following the end of his suspension.

Blues fans, let us know in the comment section down below if this is the side you would send out on Saturday afternoon!
