Ahead of Blues’ trip to Huddersfield Town on Saturday afternoon, Rob Wildey spoke to Vital Huddersfield’s Terrier24.

WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON DAVID WAGNER?

The man has come in and delivered what has been hash tagged as the #WagnerRevolution. He has brought back pride in to the team and unified the players and supporters through sheer hard work. An amazing turnaround if you only look back over recent seasons of dropping attendances and shockingly bad football. Wagner has completely turned the whole place around and for that deserves immense credit.

ARE HUDDERSFIELD GENUINE PROMOTION CONTENDERS OR IS IT A FLASH IN THE PAN?

At the start of the season ask any Huddersfield fan and we would have been happy with a top half finish, let alone hanging around the top of the table for so long.
Realistically we probably haven’t got the squad to hang in the top two for the duration of the season, although a play off spot may well be achievable, I think most will still consider this a credible season finishing inside the top 10.

HOW HAS THE SEASON GONE SO FAR?

Couldn`t really have gone much better in anyones wildest dreams, maybe taking away the 5-0 defeat at Fulham last week which wasnt in anybodies script, although it goes to show anyone can beat anyone in this league and you simply can`t afford to have off days!

WHAT WOULD REPRESENT A GOOD SEASON FOR HUDDERSFIELD?

As I said above, top 10 would be a great achievement, a big step change from looking over your shoulder come the end of the season.

WHAT WAS YOUR OPINION OF LEE CLARK DURING HIS TIME AT THE JOHN SMITH’S STADIUM?

Started off like a kid in a candy store, too much money and too many players signed in his tenure overall but he did unearth some gems at the time in Lee Peltier, Anthony Pilkington and Jordan Rhodes. The first season was amazing, lovely attacking football in a we will score more than you mentality. This ended in not getting promotion and then a big change in his managerial style for the following season, where we became quite hard to beat but fairly boring to watch, ending up in a state of being afraid to lose games, ironically culminating in the current league record for unbeaten games standing at 43 games, surpassing Brian Clough`s record of 42 games unbeaten at Nottingham Forest back in 1979. This and signing nomadic journeymen footballers like Tommy Miller and Alan Lee instead of taking the risks on Jamie Vardy at the time (If you read Vardy`s book you will see!)

Overall passionate manager who compromised his philosophies for footballing results, which then ultimately cost him his job. Shame really

WHICH TERRIERS PLAYER SHOULD BIRMINGHAM BE WARY OF?

Elias Kachunga. The man has so much energy it`s unreal runs until the 95th minute non stop, also currently our top scorer. Be warned! “Ain`t nobody like Kachunga’

IF YOU COULD SIGN ONE BIRMINGHAM PLAYER FOR THE HUDDERSFIELD SQUAD, WHO WOULD IT BE AND WHY?

Che Adams. We too were linked with the player over the summer and it`s perhaps the only area we are lacking in our squad. It will be interesting to see how he performs if he does indeed start

WHAT IS YOUR PREDICTION FOR THE GAME?

We need to bounce back from the defeat at Fulham, although we have struggled to score goals in games, so probably another tight match, i`m going for The Terriers to nick it late on – Huddersfield 2-1 Birmingham
