Luke Turner singles out one player who could be the difference on Thursday night…

Gary Rowett`s Blues welcome former boss Steve Bruce and his Hull side to St Andrews on Thursday looking to bounce back from a disappointing defeat at Queens Park Rangers.

The Tigers are currently in second position and will have the chance to go two points clear at the top whilst putting pressure on those below heading into the weekend.

If Blues are to get any sort of result then I think we will need our skipper, Michael Morrison, to step up and lead the team.

I think that Morrison has been a bit of an unsung hero this season as his performances have been very consistent and I have seen a big improvement to his game.

Playing against a side like Hull, who are full of Premier League quality, will give us a lot of problems to think about.

The main problem will be their attacking threat and we will need Morrison to be on top form to stop the likes of 16-goal man Abel Hernandez.

He, along with Robbo, will need to command the back four and those ahead of them by being vocal and also leading by example.

At times, we might find it difficult to break down a resolute Hull defence with former Blues favourite Curtis Davies at the heart of that.

Therefore, set pieces could be key for us and the height of Morrison will definitely give us a chance.

One thing the centre back has added to his game this season is goals with three in all competitions so far compared to none last season.

He is such a calming influence on the team and is a sensible player. I think just two yellow cards all season shows just that.

A victory in front of the Sky Sports cameras will be the perfect way for Blues to get back to winning ways so let’s just hope that Morro can guide us to the three points!
