Birmingham City host Hull City on Thursday night in what could be titled the biggest game of the season for Gary Rowett`s men.

Why I hear you asking! Well, if Blues manage to overcome the Tigers in what proves to be a very difficult game, Rowett`s side would leapfrog Cardiff City into 7th place and they would be just a point adrift of Sheffield Wednesday occupying the last play-off spot and are currently having a minor hiccup.

The game against Hull could potentially be a stepping stone for us because if the result goes in our favour then it would put the poor result at the weekend behind us and it would show a big signal of intent to our fellow play-off challengers highlighting that we are still in the mix.

For me, this game against Steve Bruce`s side is a bit like Rowett`s first home game against Watford last season when we won 2-1 thanks for a Clayton Donaldson double. If Blues could defeat Hull then it would be a confidence booster heading into the next lot of fixtures which are against teams lower down in the division.

Last season after the Hornets game, Blues built up the momentum and I feel like if we can get St.Andrews rocking on Thursday evening then that momentum can slowly start to build again as we count down the games to what could be a very tasty end to the season.

April is a huge month for us and I think that if we can perform to our highest potential this month in games against Hull, Blackburn Rovers, local rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers and Fulham then we will be in good stead for the nine remaining games of the season.

Blues fans, do you agree that Thursday`s game against Hull City could be the biggest game of our season or is it just the start of a tough road to the play-offs? Let us know in the comment section down below!
