Birmingham City inflicted more misery on struggling Sky Bet Championship side Bolton Wanderers on Tuesday night, but there was one shining light in the Trotters side.

Liam Feeney caused Jonathan Grounds plenty of problems throughout the game and he looked like the sort of player that Gary Rowett loves.

He has plenty of pace, he is physical when he has the ball, he tracks back well and he looks like he is very dangerous when his team are on the attack. All of these qualities are what Rowett is looking for in a player.

In fact, you could say that Feeney is almost a carbon copy of current Blues star, Jacques Maghoma, only he plays on the right hand side of the pitch.

Despite Blues already having a talismanic right winger in the shape of David Cotterill, I think it would be good to bring in another out and out right sided player and for me, Feeney is that man.

I’ll tell you why I think Feeney could be a player heading to us in the summer Blues fans, because he is out of contract in the summer!

Rowett loves a good bargain and with the former AFC Bournemouth man set to become a free transfer in the summer, what’s to say the ex-Burton Albion manager isn’t already scouting the 29 year old.

For me, Feeney is exactly the type of player that fits the Birmingham City mould and following his stand out performance on Tuesday night at St.Andrews, he hasn’t done himself any harm and I am sure he will have earned himself a few more admirers.

Blues fans, do you agree that Liam Feeney is the sort of player that we should be aiming to bring in this summer? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section down below!
