Birmingham boss Lee Clark was pleased with the way his side played at Barnsley on Saturday.

Their away form is getting better as they put Barnsley to the sword and come away from Oakwell with a 3-0 win under their belts.

Paul Caddis chose that afternoon to get his first and second goals for the club when he firstly unleashed an unstoppable shot into the bottom corner of the net after just 13 minutes, then when Nikola Zigic had conned the ref into awarding Blues a penalty, Caddis scored from the spot to make it 2-0.

Zigic himself made it three before the break when he put the ball over Jack Butland and into the net.

Clark was happy with his team’s display he admitted to reporters after the game: ‘Our whole performance in the first half was very good but we knew Barnsley would regroup and come at us a little bit and take a few gambles and risks so we had to defend very, very well in the second half and we did that.

‘I’m delighted that we got a clean sheet on top of three excellent goals.’

He continued: ‘I just wanted our players to come and express themselves. We’ve got a very, very young group and they did that.’
