Monday Musings; the cracks, Zigic & H&M jumpers

‎As I write this, I’m in Bulgaria on holiday. Having read briefly about the Burton game, I’m devastated I missed it. It sounded like a cracker and by cracker I mean it showed up all of the cracks in Blues’ team.

To be frank, a lacklustre pre-season may do us well in the long run. Expectation levels were unrealistically high and now these people who were banking on us winning the league may now be forced to ground their optimism slightly.

Missing out on signing Robert Tesche and Diego Fabbrini is evidence of where about Blues are as a club: trying hard but can’t quite buy what they want. A bit like me in Tesco with only £4.62 on my debit card.

Quality is badly needed at St Andrews and fast before Gary Rowett decides to polish his own boots and take to the field himself – or we resign Nikola Zigic.

The Championship season kicks off on Saturday week and Rowett will not be happy with his summer activity so far. Not only has he struggled to bring in his number one transfer targets, he was also let down by H&M who have took his favourite jumper out of the sale and restored it to normal price. As a result, Rowett could only afford to buy six.

Anyway, I’ve kept it short and sweet because I have a beach to attend. I hope you all understand.

Keep Right On!
