Kilgallon was released from his Sunderland contract last month, Blues face stern competition from Blackburn and Sheffield Wednesday.
Matt Kilgallon is now 29 having started at Leeds as a trainee and had his most significant days at Sheffield United for signed him for £1.7 million. He made over 100 appearances for United before moving to Sunderland where he has failed to make an impact finding himself loaned out to Middlesbrough and Doncaster.
