Blues boss Clark is convincing that Bartley and Burn are going to gel perfectly together; he had the following to say when talking to the Official Site.
‘I think everyone could see we were short in the central defensive areas and to get the two lads we have from Premier League clubs is great.’ However it shouldn’t be taken for granted that players coming from higher divisions are 100% sure to give you a positive impact or be better than players that are sourced from elsewhere.
‘One is a naturally left-sided centre-back, which is difficult to come by and one obviously a right-sider. I think everyone will agree seeing them around the training ground that they are two big fellas, but on top of that they`re two very talented players.’ The more physical the better in the league that we are in, time and time again you will see teams pick up points and stay in this division on direct physical play.
‘They also fit the criteria I`m looking for of young hungry players that want to do well.’
