Less than 500 tickets are remaining for Aston Villa`s visit to St. Andrews on 30 October, the first second city league derby in half a decade.

This week, Blues opened up the Gil Merrick stand upper (formerly the Olympic Gallery) for the first time since the FA Cup fixture against West Brom in January last year. However, the blocks located directly above Villa`s 2,000 visiting supporters will be segregated after the club sought advice from security bodies.

The remaining allocation mentioned above does not include restricted view seats which are unavailable to purchase online. Considering how highly anticipated the game is, the club has been advised to extend segregated areas which may include the first row of the circumference of the stadium.

Due to the extra security measures, the maximum attendance possible is thought to be around 26,800 (St Andrews official capacity is 30,016) though no official club source has confirmed this.

Gary Rowett`s men are guaranteed to be going into the game above their arch rivals who they currently sit ten points and thirteen places above.
