Birmingham City are said to be one of a host of clubs interested in signing Le Havre left-back Ferland Mendy.
Premier League clubs Crystal Palace, West Brom and newly-promoted Brighton are also chasing the signature of the 21-year-old who is rated at £7m.
Mendy made 35 appearances and scored two goals in Ligue 2 last season as his side finished eighth.
