Birmingham City winger David Cotterill has been told he can leave the club on a free transfer with one year still left to run on his St. Andrew’s contract.

Cotterill, 29, spent the second half of last season on loan at Bristol City after being told by former manager Gianfranco Zola that he was surplus to requirements just hours before the close of the transfer window.

Queens Park Rangers and Derby County are both interested in taking the Welshman who has made 96 league appearances for Blues since joining from Doncaster Rovers in June 2014.
