Birmingham City are ready to offer prized asset Che Adams a new contract, the Birmingham Mail are reporting.

The 21-year-old was only signed by the club last summer and played an integral part in the club surviving in the Championship, scoring the goal that kept Blues up.

With Premier League and Championship clubs sniffing about, it makes sense for Blues to tie the youngster down on fresh terms.

The Mail say that Blues rejected a £5m bid from Fulham for the attacker earlier this summer with Harry Redknapp and the club having no intention of selling.

Adams scored seven goals in 40 Championship appearances last season.
