Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe watched his side win at St Andrews on Saturday and declared that they could still make the play-offs, although they would need some help.

For Blues it was the usual home misery as Bournemouth cracked in four goals including a brace from top scorer Lewis Grabban, the win lifted the Cherries to tenth in the table, just five points behind Reading in sixth place.

Bournemouth have now won six of the last eight games which has brought them into contention for a play-off spot, but How knows they still need teams above them to slip up.

He told Sky Sports: ‘It is going to be difficult. If you look at the clubs above us their destiny is in their hands not ours.

‘They are the teams with experience but if we carry on the way we are playing and showing a fearless attitude then who knows what we are capable of achieving.’

Bournemouth are next in action on Saturday when they take on QPR at home before the big game against Reading the following Tuesday.
