Birmingham City have announced via their official channels that Robert Tesche has signed for the club on a three year deal.

Yesterday, it was announced by blogger Shane Ireland that the club were due to announce the signing of the former loanee and on Friday afternoon, the club confirmed that the midfielder had put pen to paper as Gary Rowett adds his first new signing to the Birmingham City ranks.

The German midfielder spent the second half of the 2014/15 season on loan at Blues making 12 appearances and scoring twice, including a goal on his final appearance for the club in a 1-0 win over Bolton Wanderers on the last day of the season.

At 29-year-old, Tesche will add a little bit of experience to the Birmingham City midfield and with the precise passer already knowing the majority of the squad and how Rowett likes his team to play, this signing could be one that turns out to be very fruitful for the club.
