Ahead of Tuesday nights Sky Bet Championship fixture with Blackburn Rovers, our five-a-side team has to be drawn up as per usual.

Rovers, who have picked up 10 points from the last seven games, including four of promotion chasing Middlesbrough, are a tough side to beat at home and Gary Rowett’s side will have to be at their best to win this one.

A fantastic performance on Thursday evening is sure to have the Blues camp in high spirits, but they can’t take anything for granted when they visit Ewood Park for this midweek fixture.

The home side have only conceded 14 goals at home in the league so far this campaign, but with Blues travelling well all season, scoring 21 goals in the league, there could be another away win coming for Rowett’s men.

It has been difficult once again to choose who I would like to put in my team for this weeks five-a-side feature, but after careful consideration I believe I have picked the best possible five players that are on offer.

Down below is this weeks team which of course includes three Blackburn players and two Birmingham City players.

GK: Tomasz Kuszczak.

After Thursday nights heroics in goal, how could I not choose the 33 year old keeper!?

So far this campaign, the former Manchester United man has kept 14 clean sheets, four more than Blackburn keeper, Jason Steele, and after several man of the match performances for the Blues, Kuszczak just needed to be in my side once again this week.

DF: Grant Hanley.

The Scotland international has been at the heart of the Rovers defence all season and I thought he was the best of the bunch out of their squad for a defender.

Making 37 appearances in all competitions so far this year, including international starts, Hanley has scored two goals and picked up six yellow cards, but his performances of late have been really eye catching.

So far this year the 24 year old centre back has kept 11 clean sheets in all competitions and those clean sheets are what have earned him the right to a place in line-up this week.

MF: Jon Toral and Ben Marshall.

For this weeks midfield duo I have opted to go for one from each side.

To begin with, after another fantastic performance on Thursday night, Arsenal loanee Toral just needed to be in my five-a-side team.

The turn he produced for the goal against Hull City was fabulous and even though his shot took a deflection, it took nothing away from his performance.

His confidence at the moment is through the roof and because of that and his threat in front of goal, Toral needed to be in this weeks team!

Next to the Spaniard is Blackburn’s top goalscorer Marshall. This season, behind Jordan Rhodes who has now moved on to pastures new, Marshall has been one of the stand out performers for Rovers.

Having played in 36 games in league and cup this season, Marshall has picked up six goals and has shown that he can play in a variety of positions all over the pitch ranging from left back to attacking midfield.

Because of his versatility and his ability to score goals from all over the pitch, Marshall was a clear favourite to make it into this weeks five-a-side squad.

ST: Danny Graham.

This may seem like a bit of a strange pick but in his six games for the Riversiders, he has scored two goals and been a part of three wins, including scoring the winner against Boro.

Although he may not strike you as the most prolific scorer, he has been very good since he has joined Rovers and for that reason I wanted to put him in this weeks team.

Blues and Rovers fans, do you agree with this weeks five-a-side team? Would you change anybody from either team? Let us know in the comment section down below!
